I bet she wears those short skirts when she golfs

Yeah swapping out parts is not difficult at all. My son & I do nearly all the work on all the vehicles in the garage from his Jeep Wrangler to the two Ms to my Z06. They're all put together basically the same.

So far the most difficult one has been his '03 Wrangler X when installing headers and full exhaust. Had to completely remove the driver fender to even see the exhaust manifold bolts. Then it took my wife's smaller hands to actually tighten/torque them down.

Changing the spark plugs on the S58 isn't hard.

Apropos of nothing, seeing your sig reminds me:

I know it's not, but whenever I see a Callaway Corvette mentioned I think of Callaway, the golf club company, not the performance car company. And then I chuckle to myself because, and I mean no offense, that would be the most Corvette thing ever.

I kid, I kid.

I mean one was the dad (golf) & the other the son (race cars) so they're related

I've never golfed; however, do make fun of my students who think it's a legitimate sport

But to your point, golf clubs & jorts are to Corvettes as douchebags are to BMWs, and rednecks are to Jeeps. Thankfully, I and those from their respective car communities I choose to engage with don't fall within those descriptions.

so... between 36,001 miles and 59,999 miles or during the 24 months in 4th and 5th year, the customer is supposed to pay full price for simple oil changes?

"BMW Ultimate Care Oil Services* for BMWs that have reached 60 months or 60,000 miles. For one time fixed price of $225, you'll receive 3 years of unlimited oil and oil filter changes, based on your BMW's Condition Based Service (CBS) system."
The "donut hole" to use a US specific term... Was created, IMHO, to reduce cannibalizing sales of BMW UC+.

Hard for the dealership finance guy to push it if you walk past a sign saying oil changes are $75/year...

I'm not sure if I'm lucky or unlucky to be doing business with a very honest BMW dealer.

When I was taking delivery of my BMW, I told the dealer's finance manager that I wanted to buy the BMW UltimateCare plan.(adding 3 or 4 years of maintenance) He asked me how many miles I usually drove per year. I replied 4000 to 5000 miles. He absolutely refused to sell it to me and said "don't waste you money, I'm not selling it to you for your own good!" He was right, of course. Not really sure why the dealership even gave him a job to begin with. Isn't a finance manager's job to maximize the dealer's profits?

I later learned that he was a retired Marine and took no BS from nobody type. I guess having served in the Marines for 25 years would do that to someone? But still unsure why a car dealer would hire him as the finance manager. My assumption is that "honesty" was not a priority for that job? (for forgive me if I'm wrong) I have dealt with too many dishonest finance managers since 1985.(10 or 12 cars)

It all depends on the dealership. In the Chicago area, the only dealership that received BMW's "Excellence" award was Knauz. They are the most straightforward, sales and service. Motorwerks in Barrington and Perillo have the worst reputation for upselling and trying to get customers to fix items that don't need fixing.
