I found for me in my E92M the Mperformace knob also is better feeling for day to day driving over ZHP. It's also about an ounce heavier. AS 23% reduction with stock height here.

What fluids do you guys run Is there a better or recommended fluid over oem for our transmission? I did a flush at 40k when I first bought the car and the tech said the fluid was filthy (replaced it with oem at the time)

do people run ATF here? i've heard of that as a good way to smooth out shifting on other bimmer transmissions...

Small bump but I haven't found what is the difference between this part highlighted in red here for the AS kit vs. OEM? Post #108 of this thread
https://www.m3post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=108 I picked up the Turner poly carrier bushing and am thinking of pairing that with the Dinan ssk along with Rogue delrin bushings and replacing the red highlighted with just new OEM. Thoughts, how would this setup be drastically different from the AS kit? Also read 1 post saying ECS's teflon are the same as Rogue Delrin, is that right? Doesn't sound right.

Thanks for posting this. I picked up a 6MT e90 with 100k miles in February; it came with an Ultimate clutch pedal and the UUC short shift kit. The feel was very notchy or imprecise, tons of slop. I followed along with the upgrades in your thread - Red Line ATF, Autosolutions short shift kit, bushing replacements, and ZHP knob. Amazing difference before and after and I count the above as the top 3 essential mods for this platform: AS ssk with bushing upgrades, Corsa exhast, Harrop supercharger.

Can anyone explain why in my 2011 M3 6mt the gearbox feels extremely lurchy and “Sloppy” between all gear shifts almost like there is a protective mode to aim your shifts into the next correct gear. As though there’s a safety setting trying to keep you from shifting into the wrong gear or floating gears. Then when I go into M mode no matter “sport” or “sport plus” the gearbox has a drastic change in physical feel between all gears even when shifting in the exact same way. It suddenly glides in between gears with no restrictive feeling and feels as though it’s now a raw normal manual gearbox where it would let you money shift. I’ve read online that it’s just an illusion of the more instant power from the M mode but I guarantee you it’s not just that. It makes sense why it downshifts smoother because the experience is drastically changed with rev matching because the rev limiter is removed and the rpms drop faster making the next shift smoother which is very obviously noticeable. Can someone please explain why it feels like an entirely different gearbox when upshifting I feel like I’m going crazy!
