PM me for more info, be glad to help.

If you want to make the drive, call Don at Unexpected Creations in NJ. You won't be disappointed in the install quality, and caliber of products offered. All high-end equipment.

Well I don't know about Bitone, but I've definitely purchased Audison from him before. An LRx 6.9.

You must have called the wrong Don. Don is quite familiar with the bit one and highly recommends not using it because of the issues that many people have had with its noise issues.

I had planned doing a bit one until he convinced me not to. Zapco DSP-6 is one of the processors of choice, or the new Motus Lab AGW+. I am going the Motus Lab route since I need a MOST gateway and having one of the only 8-channel processors means I don't need to get two DSP-6s.

Hey there, I'm also in Central NJ (same as your location). Is this shop in the area? I'm looking to upgrade the speakers (and amp them) in my base audio outfitted M. Looking around the forums, there doesn't seem like there are too many options out there since everything is so integrated.

Would they be able to help? Where are they located? Thanks!

absolutely.. don is doing up my e93 M as soon as i get one of my problems corrected with the dealer (has taken 6 months of agonizing wait and counting).

he did two other e93s - both with infinite baffle subs through the skipass (uses zero trunk space with a giant box) and one with kickpanels. this is the greatest setup ever in my opinion - full subwoofer bass without the giant trunk eating box to go with it.

doing a speaker and amp setup should be a piece of cake for him. i have some dynaudio tweeters that fit in the tweeter slot that i bought from him if you're interested. also got a set of speaker rings to fit the 4" mids if you swap those as well that i bought from one of the guys on the forum here. he can swap the underseat subs with dynaudio 6.5" mids as well.. that was my initial setup before it transformed a bit..

dynaudio md102 in tweet spot
dynaudio 430 in mid spot
dynaudio 162gt in underseat sub spot
dynaudio 1200 in infinite baffle setup in skipass

I want to try and give Don a call sometime this week. Is this the shop number? I don't feel comfortable really if this is his personal number. Edison is about 10 minutes from me.

For all the people recommending Don here, be aware he's a bit of a cuckoo. I asked him to schedule a time to install my amp, instead he just sent me links to do it myself. I bought a part from him that he said I needed and told me it would be an easy job. It is most definitely NOT an easy job.

When I called back to ask him to please schedule a time to come in, he told me he was too busy and basically scolded me. He spent more time refusing me service than it just would have taken to do the job that I was asking to pay him to do.

Anyways, does anyone have a recommendation for a PROFESSIONAL business that really knows BMW? I still need to get my amp working. Thank you!

Hah. I also had a weird experience with him many years ago. Many on the forum recommended him, so I was trying to have him do a build on a car and communication was strange - never able to speak, and it felt like he was doing me a favor to even reply. As someone who runs their own business, good for him if he can turn customers away all the time and still have enough work. But took my business elsewhere.

Sorry that doesn't help, but wanted to share. Good luck!
