Engine Malfunction Reduced Power and P2298 code.

Hi guys,

I'm running Test Pipe paired with modded exhaust and burble tune. Replaced all 4 o2 sensors this year in March. Parked the car in the garage for three month without touching it, and after I came back and drove it for around 1k miles, the check light came on again with code P2298 (O2 Sensor Out of Range During Deceleration Bank 2 Sensor 1). And sometimes if I idle the car for 5mins, the warning engine malfunction reduced power shows up, but never shows up while driving.
Lifted the car up today, nothing wrong underneath the car, o2 sensors are not loosen. Anyone one have any idea what is going on? Maybe the burble tune? Any advice other than get other tune? I found some people put a o2 sensor spacer on their car, but don't really know how it works, anyone can explain a little bit? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Best,
Lucas

Isn't the burble tune just dumping extra fuel? I wouldn't see why you don't start by troubleshooting the tune. Did this happen prior the tune?

It has never happened prior the tune, I installed the test pipe and tune at the same time

and with three month old gas, i'd guess both may be the issue.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I actually have the exact same issues you have mentioned. Idling too long sometimes causes the engine to go into limp and P2298 shows up sometimes during driving. I am running catless and burble as well

The burble tune is eating pre cat sensors.
I had 3 sets of burned o2 sensors already.

My BMW M3 (S65) has the same symptoms/scenario as the original poster, but I see this thread never got resolved. See attached codes and advise if you ever got this issue resolved.
