Oil in the V
What’s up guys, I had a question for everyone. I was changing my TA’s and I see some puddles of oil in the valley of the block. Where do we think this is coming from? I do need to do my valve covers as I’m at 280,000 but it doesn’t seem to be coming from the inside of the covers because I don’t see it washing down into the V but there is some sort of metal shield that hides the inside of the valve covers so maybe that is it. Let me know if you have any ideas. No errors or codes besides the failed TA.

Here is a coolant sample to rule out head gasket. This coolant has roughly 20k on it.

Yeah it’s good. I did that about 3 years ago. I think it’s gotta be the valve covers. In the meantime, I have cleaned it all out in there. I’m gonna check on it in a few weeks. I’m hoping since it’s all clean, I will be able to see where it’s running down from.
