What are you daily driving these days?

My daily is an X5 45e Stage 2. But during summer and spring my E93 M3 is my daily 🙂 unless it’s too hot.

I just snagged a one owner Ford F150 with 3.5l eco boost from a dentist off of Facebook marketplace. Looking forward to doing some light mods to it and a bit of off roading. Sold my 08 335i in place of it. Frankly feels good to only have one BMW.

The biggest revelation is how cheap and plentiful parts and service is and how easy it is to work on things in the engine bay.

Update:

I added some tint and BF Goodrich K03s. I originally went with the Michelin Defenders and they were great but just looked kinda plain. The K03s did it for me. The ride is 9/10’s of the Defenders but the gas mileage takes about a 2mpg hit.

Actually luv my Ranger Raptor...surprisingly a great 'all-rounder', even as a daily driver and grocery getter
For me, the "Goldilocks' choice with serious performance, ruggedness along with cool features, appearance & size.

Immediately added Ford ProCal tune bumping performace specs while preserving factory warranty ==> 455hp; 531 ft/lb torque

Particularly for a heavy truck...damn thing is fast, exceptional handling, ride quality [on & off road] - - capable of running sub 5s 0-60
Planning a hi-speed SoCal desert run later this month

One of the tuners looks to be getting "conservative" +110whp/+95wtq on tune alone with 91 octane - surely a smidge more (or at least more safety) with the 93 I can get here. That's a lot of fun in that truck assuming you've got ~550 horsepower. I've already got a truck, but I think I'm ready for something newer but don't really see the need for a full size again.

It sounds silly, but I'm having a tough time getting past the interior trim. The red/orange is killing me

picked up this AW E91 about 2.5 years ago with 145k on it for $8k. has been the most reliable car i’ve ever owned and most useful in every way. like others have mentioned N51/N52 don’t have the best gas mileage but i’m willing to sacrifice that for reliability. just clocked 170 and only CEL i’ve ever had was for a thermostat. never left me stranded! BMW ftw! 🤙🏾

To funny...welp, since I have an affinity for BMWs Fox Red, Fords 'Code Orange' trim along with Ebony leather color not a stretch and to my liking.
If not already, suggest have a look in-person as pic variations aren't terribly reflective of actual color...again jus my 2¢

Overall IMO, interior look & feel more 'sports car like' than pick-up truck.

Materials appointments done quite well. Seats designed by Recaro with above average leather, lots of 'alcantara like' soft touch trim throughout [ie dash and door cards].
Found interior appearance to be a plus especially compared to similar higher trim mid-size competitors [ie Tacos, Canyons, Colorados etc.]

Of course, to each his own...right?

Ram 1500 Limited, 5.7 Hemi. Actually gets better mileage and rides like a limo. This is a bit of an old picture. Front windows have been tinted since then. It’s about to tow the M3 to Greenville to have rod bearings and valve cover gaskets replaced, and hopefully resolve an electrical issue.

For work a VW ID Buzz, my idea of carbon offset perhaps Plus a Fiat Panda 100HP, not quick but it's small and nimble, like a road going go kart.

We have a few of these in my work fleet. They are impressive to ride for trips!

How is a pickup truck jack of all trades? I will say it is big and kind of quick though.

It has no real sporting intentions

I am dailying an X5 these days which more much more of what we're describing here.

Not sure if you’ve driven one, but they’re plenty sporty! I wouldn’t describe as nimble, but for a midsize truck, it’s got some scoot, some turn, some offroad, some comfort, some utility… jack of all trades!

It does a lot of things pretty well, but I won’t say it does one thing great. A Swiss Army knife can cut something, but a dedicated knife will do it better

All too often 'shared opinions' seem a bit devoid of actual, informed knowledge and/or experience. This all to evident in forums & social media these days...an undesirable 'by-product' ==> "gift that jus keeps giving"

The raptor ranger is great. I would have bought one if the bed was a little bigger and if could tow a boat or track car. Does seem like a fun truck for a regular home owner though.

Not to belabour this Ranger Raptor topic...

Keep in-mind the design/build intent for any Raptor is primarily for higher speed off-roading, over-landing and such.

For dedicated rock crawling or heavy load towing/hauling, large cargo, etc... there's all sorts of 'conventional' mid/full size trucks, Jeeps for those purposes.

Raptors are blast...on & off road!!!
