I can't decide between 35 or 40 aspect ratio on the tires. Plan is 40, but I've heard some grumblings of possible rub?

Rear:

Can I run the above without issue with spacers? My plan is to toss 12mm spacers on the front and 10mm spacers on the rear.

I find myself making this exact decision right now. What did you end up going with, any feedback you can provide?

I ended up going with exactly as I had listed. May be the Continentals I chose, but they do rub slightly when turning up front on the liner. Maybe Michelins wouldn’t? BUT they only seem to do it after they’ve had some heat in them. Right out of the garage, no issue.

It could be rubbing on the inner rear bumper in an area that sits below where the bumper and rear quarter panel meet. I was running a set of 3-piece HREs with a rear 19x9.5et11 (needed a 10 mm spacer on a 9.5et21 wheel to provide clearance between the inner wheel face and a PFC Z31 rear caliper) with MPSS 275/35-19 tires and it rubbed on the rear fender when encountering large compression bumps particularly when cornering hard and hitting a bump midcorner. Below is a not so great picture showing where the rubbing occurs.

Thanks a lot, I'll pick up a 10mm spacer while I am at it then, since my 12/15 wont work.

Thanks! Perhaps 10mm front instead of 12mm would result in no rub? Right now I am 12 front/10 rear.

If you want to see a few more pictures, post #15 and onward in the link below show the car as it sits with 12/10. It's right at flush. I'm bad at updating the thread, but it shows the car sans current exhaust I believe.

What brand of tire? I’m considering running an 18” rear Yoko A052 in 295/35 on an 18x11et30. The A052 295 is wider than a typical 295 but do you think the 295/35 will work on an 11et30? Is a 265/40 too tall for the front mounted on 19x9.5et22? I’m trying to reuse existing wheels and tires originally sized for my f82 M4.

Those are Toyo RR. Fairly wide for a typical 315, at least much squarer sidewalls which affects fitment a lot.

I wouldn't suggest 265/40R19, just too tall as you mentioned for the front of these cars.

It’s actually a 265/40-18. Its rolling diameter is 26.3” vs. the stock 245/40-18 25.7” rolling diameter. This makes the % difference 2.3%. This is too much for a x-drive but is it too much for an e92 M3? I’ve used 255/40-18 in the past and its rolling diameter is 26.1” without fitment issues. The 265/40 is only 0.1” larger on the radius…so close! I have the wheels and I have the tires so I guess I’ll give it a try and see what happens…

So a 295/35-18 on an 18x11et30 should be fine?

265/40R18 is fine, but he had mentioned a 265/40 on an 19x9.5", so I assume R19. Which is just too tall for the front - considering 275/35R18 rubs the fender lines at full lock, and the 265/40R19 is over 1.5" taller diameter @ 27.3".

I use a 295/35R18 on this exact wheel setup as my wet/street setup (Conti Sport 02). You should be fine at ET30 imo.

I do have a spare set of HRE R101LW in 19x9.5et22 and 19x11et42 from my f82. Do you think a rear 305/30-19 with a 10-12 mm spacer (11et30-32) would fit? I think a 295/30 is a better size. I’ve been debating whether to run them on an e92 M3 or just sell them. If I can make them work without having to buy new tires then I’d run them.

For your wheels, I think you could get a 295/30R19 to work no problem with the 11 ET30-32.
I've done 305/30R19 Pilot Sport 4S on 11 ET32 (+37 BBS LM w/ 5mm spacer). It's tight and might rub the inner fender liner on occasion, but otherwise it works. At full droop it will hit on the fender liner, but once it's weighted it just clears, and under compression/deflection it will rub on the fender liner at times, FYI. But otherwise it works with no issues.

Could really use some expertise to fine tune specs here for a 2011 E92 comp that'll be lowered like slicer's car. Zero rubbing desired at all speeds, full lock.

I don't want to modify fenders whatsoever or run unusual camber. I believe the 285/30s on a 10.5" wheel is going to look stretched so perhaps I should go 295s or 285s on a 10"?

I have the opportunity to completely customize the specs to my liking. I'd love nail this on one shot. TIA!
