Stoptech is not the best BBK out there but it does have some advantages. The ST40 caliper has an almost unlimited choice of pads. Same pad shape as early Porsche 928/944/968 models. Pad changes are super easy - a big plus if it is a car that sees frequent pad changes.

A 4 wheel BBK with the ST40 caliper front and rear - you can swap pads front to rear in a pinch.

Stay away from the ST60 caliper - it does not have any of the advantages of using Stoptech.

Has StopTech sorted out their supply chain issues?

I don’t believe GiroDisc offers the six piston front wide annulus rotor (54 mm PRD iirc). I had suggested GiroDisc, Paragon or Coleman to a f82 owner and he ended up having rotors made by Coleman which suggests GiroDisc and Paragon do not offer the wide annulus rotor rings. Coleman has been around for decades and their prices are excellent considering they are making a pair of new custom rotor rings from scratch. Best part is you don’t have to buy 10 sets!

The 380 mm OFD wide annulus rotor has a PRD of 62 mm. The 380 mm OD rotor you linked above has a PRD of 52.5 mm. The 380 mm OD wide annulus rotor isn’t widely used so I’m not surprised Paragon, and most likely GiroDisc too, doesn’t offer it. Coleman has already manufactured them so it should be easy to order a pair from them. Coleman rotors have been used in racing for decades so their iron rotors are safe to use for track days.

Sorry to beat the dead horse here, but ppl keep saying this and it's factually incorrect.

While the improvements are not drastic like a BBK (and the cost isn't also).

There are benefits more than show:

• Bigger disc, higher thermal capacity
• fixed caliper
• easier pad changes
• availability of parts

While they will "run into the same issue as oem brakes", they provide an improvement over stock brakes. You might consider them slight improvements, or slightly more, but they bridge the gap between stock and bbk while using all OEM parts which give you the safety and reliability of a proven setup over some retrofits of unknown quality and rotors that are hard to source.

Girodisc has a 380x35mm and 355x35mm disc.

Stoptech and supply chain issues are becoming like peanut butter and jelly. You can get rotor rings - just need to look around. Turner is out of stock on the 355x32 discs but Amazon.com has them in stock. Most of the parts are standard stuff except for the caliper brackets. The rear rotor hats might be hard to find. McMaster Carr has all of the hardware. Just got some damned $10 jet nuts - $80 for 8 nuts!

You can work around the supply chain issues for the most part, just not convenient.

I do miss their racing brake pads. The SR34 pads felt like PF01s but wore like PF08s...the best brake pad I've ever used!

Yes, they do but its PRD is 53.5 mm. The 380 mm OD wide annulus rotor has a 63 mm PRD. Perhaps a better way to state it is if you use a StopTech 6-piston standard pad on a wide annulus rotor, there’s basically a 10 mm unswept area near the rotor IR.
