Hey guys sorry to drag this thread up again.

I am/have been trying to figure a way to improve my cooling on my ess car. IÂ’ve from the uk so no one does this stuff here we just settle for average lol.

I thought moving the tank out the engine bay would help and IÂ’ve found a larger front ess I will install to help also.

From what i have gathered reading through the standard pump is ok with the ess kit? How do you bleed the system also once itÂ’s fitted?

I am going to look at a plastic tank of possible,my car is rhd so I will need to look at routing for the pipe work.

I hope this solves the issues as summer time the heat really ruins the car,cool weather itÂ’s a fast car but summer you can really feel it so it would be amazing to have some more consistency as the car is fast enough for myself (I have a 94mm pulley but thatÂ’s it). Long run IÂ’d like a custome map as itÂ’s just the ess map which I believe isnÂ’t the greatest.

Glad this thread could be of use 10 years later. Yes the standard ESS pump is fine. Regarding your question about bleeding the system, you better be good at sucking! Haha. Seriously this part of the job isn't fun. From what I recall, you need to manually suck on the return line (which connects to the water tank) and as soon as the water gushes out in your face you connect it to the tank. And make sure your tank is full of water always! Never drain the tank too low or else you are going to have to suck the system all over again. Happened to me at a race event when I was using ice and drained the tank to refill with new ice and accidently drained out too much water. My buddies got a kick out of my sucking technique lol.

LOL, man you’re e92 M3 was really f’ing quick. Some of your airstrip videos really motivated me with this platform. The tank is a solid mod also. There has been some development with e85 etc… perhaps Radium engineering’s fuel pump upgrade etc… also ESS with their new G series kits with in house SC… Cool too see you post here after all this time 👍
