Wondered if anyone had any Croft specific comments or tips and also if anyone had any M3 specific tips or comments for track days please?

On hot days, stock brake fluid boils, escapes through the relief valve, and splashes around the engine bay. Happened to me on two different days on a track that is hard on the brakes. Suggest getting fluid with higher boiling temp. I will have mine flushed this weekend. Also, don't track with stock tires if you can. The fronts get really beat up fast. Finally, I guess you've seen the track threads on MDM and EDC on this part of the forum.

Barcroft, sunny in and sunny out are all fast corners, so build you confidence and don't just go barreling in there. Don't do more than a handful of laps at a time, there is three braking points from decent speeds which will put real pressure on the brakes, let them cool.
Please comment on your day and how stock brakes performed on the day. P.S. Enjoy yourself. Last edited by footie; 08-22-2008 at 06:10 AM.. |

Thanks, the straight between Chicane and Tower Bend is reasonably long, what kind of speed do people generally reach alonmg there? Well into three figures I guess?
