Titanium Double X-Pipe

I have a stock exhaust, I was looking for the best exhaust with the best sound and it turns out it is a titanium exhaust with Double X-Pipe:

I would like to order it, before I do that I have a few questions:

1. I heard that it is leaky and the smell of probably fuel gets through. Is it possible to completely get rid of this problem? If not, how bothersome is it when driving in the city.

2. After installing such an exhaust, do I need to upload some software or adjust something.

3. How much power is lost?

1. Not sure what “leaky” means unless you’re talking about exhaust leaks at bolted interfaces between the headers, test pipes, x-pipe and axle-back muffler. No. You cannot eliminate exhaust fumes on an exhaust with HFCs (they don’t eliminate all of the smell either but they do reduce it by a notable amount.

2. No. However, you would be able to install a stage 2 tune, if interested.

3. On a quality, well designed forward X x-pipe and muffler, you should gain hp, not lose hp. I personally don’t like the sound of a double x-pipe and, instead of buying a cheap highly marked-up Ali titanium x-pipe that may have fitment issues, I’d spend the money on a quality Sub 2 Speedhouse titanium single forward X x-pipe or an Akra GT4 x-pipe. The BW SS forward X x-pipe results in a 30 whp gain but they’ll only sell you one if your building a dedicated track or race car (i.e., a car that is not registered for street use).

The only thing I found from the suggested exhausts is the Arka GT4 X-Pipe. Only this exhaust is very expensive and has a very weak sound. It does not compare to the Chinese titanium ones.

I looked through a lot of videos and it is hard to find anything. I can put something else together but please send me links of what the sound is like and where to buy the parts. Maybe I will be convinced to use a different exhaust.

An Akra GT4 exhaust, consisting of an x-pipe without cats and an axle-back muffler, won’t be as loud as a Ali exhaust with no muffler. An Akra exhaust setup is definitely not for someone looking to buy an obnoxiously loud exhaust. Be prepared for drone and/or rasp and the likely loss of performance.
