ESS G1 / Main Bearing Question
I am planning to have an ESS G1 installed on my 2012 M3 (6MT) with 48k miles. BE bearings replaced at 43k miles and TBAs done. A lot of recent posts have been highlighting the possible link between main bearing failure and strain caused by the supercharger belt. It seems most of those posts are older and don't specifically reference the G1. Is there any reason to think the G1 / its belt tension will be more/less prone to main bearing failure? I plan to own the car very long term for daily use, non-track. Thanks

I would anticipate doing a main bearing service at some point in the cars life, especially if being daily driven.
The G1 was made with efficiency in mind, but I still think it will put a strain on that 1st main bearin.

IMO, a supercharger kit that is still using a 2 row crank pulley isnt as bad as say a gintani kit with a 3 row crank pulley but again thats just my opinion. I am boosted, I just look at my oil filter during my yearly oil change.

Is it possible some of the older blower designs placed more stress on the crank relative to the G1? I keep reading how light weight and efficient the G1 is, hoping that might make a difference. Thanks.
