Warranty on car imported from Canada to USA ?

Is the Canadian warranty on a year old car valid in the USA? A few times I’ve seen mentioned the option code "S838 National version Canada" on a build sheet. Do these cars frequently make it into the USA? I’m looking at one in the USA & wonder if there is anything I should be aware of. Will the car have the USA Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) sticker on the door or under the hood? Thanks
