Tyres for m359 wheels in AU

Hi all,

Sorry for spamming this forum with another question, but taken the plunge and ordered the 359m wheels.

I know that it would appear that the 255/35 and 275/35 combination seems popular elsewhere in the world but wondering for us here in AU what the preference was/is.

Road surfaces are not brilliant here as we know and the availability of the 255/275 combination seems to be a little more available than the 245/265 in terms of tyre choice.

Just wondering what those who have them went with and did they look good? Keen to maintain the low profile look and not have them look like truck tyres, but perhaps the larger 255/275 will be a little more compliant for our roads?

I have a competition pack and the car had 359M wheels from the factory. Currently it sits on the standard 245/35 & 265/35.
I believe the GTS came with 255/35 & 285/30. Like you, I'm worried about the appalling state of our roads n Victoria and the large number of potholes. So I'm reluctant to go for 30 profile.
When my current tyres wear out, I'm inclined to fit 255/35 & 275/35 which seems to be a popular choice in the US. Some even go for 285/35 on the rear, although I can't promise they'll fit.

Im with you on that, I dont think that 30's are wise for us... even though they do look pretty good in low profile...

the 245/265 combination is also pretty limiting with tyre options.... whereas 255/275 seems a lot more palatable.

Like im sure you have seen too... 285/30 there are even LESS options
