Hi all, just came across an old thread on bad/faulty snap in vanos covers. I got new euro con nex snap in ones off a guy on marketplace and just want to know people’s experience with them and if they will for sure fail or if it’s a rare issue. Also why is the name getting censored?

Because Matt and his company are banned on M3post for violating forum rules. Do some research. Euro con next uses MPower VANOS covers.

I see, to those using the Mpower/Europower snap in covers has anybody ran into problems?

I think what most people will tell you is snap on covers are hit or miss and bolt on are the surefire solution. That's what I went with from Mporium (deansbimmer)

Bolt-on vanos covers are the only way to go if you never want to worry about them again. Carbahn also offers a bolt-on solution. You can’t go wrong with either one.

Thanks for the input everyone, I decided to just leave the original ones when doing the valve covers as they looked ok, will probably get bolt on covers down the road.

Well for what it’s with, my OEM plastic ones made it to 99,000 miles. Installed the Evolve VANOS caps with new Aluminum covers. Did a 1800 mile round trip to LA to get my rod bearings done (I live in a far away rural land). So far so good. If I had gotten the required tools and did the timing, I’d go the bolt on route as well but if you go with good quality covers, I think it’ll survive the life of the car, or the engine. Fingers crossed!
