Has anyone purchased this from the seller? I inquired about purchasing the adapter but he said he only accepts PayPal friends & family. I offered to cover the fees for goods & services but he is adamant about f&f only.

How much is he asking for? If it is not alot, I would just send it F&F

Hey everyone, I just bought an 08' E90 and came upon this thread and I am a bit confused. So the 08's didn't have the "nub" and the later ones do so if you want to put a later filter into an 08' you need this nub to make it fit? Is that correct?

Any more info would be appreciated, if this is needed to make my life easier for filter changes i'd be a buyer as well.

Macht Schnell manufactures this adapter, PN 10.01.014. We keep them in stock for service work whenever one of these cars comes in for filters. They're readily available for $15 from any vendor who carries MS.

Isn't this the other way around from what OP has made? Looks like this adapts earlier-style filters to the newer airbox. OP's product is meant to adapt the newer-style filters to the older airbox. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Just got my nub today! I got the airbox out of the car, but need some guidance on doing the swap. I see that there is just one tab holding the nub in place, but it is very stiff to push. Can someone point me in the right direction (Darro or anyone)? Thanks!
