Close to OEM Eng & Tanny mounts
Soon I’m getting my rod bearings done and my M3 isn’t a track car. Modded and adding other mods to improve it but I just don’t have tracks around me anymore that I can enjoy, unfortunately.
What mounts do you all suggest that are not OEM that won’t tendorize my ass and vibrate the hell out of it? I know OEM motor mounts are oil filled so don’t want to install the same ones, just to have one leak X miles down the road someday. Cheers, RB |

I’ve had the PowerFlex engine mounts installed for six years now (added them when the RBs were replaced). Supposedly they raise the engine by 0.1-0.125” but I’ve had no rubbing issues with my Karbonius plenum. As for NVH, the PF mounts on its softest setting added virtually no NVH. Only time I feel a small increase in NVH is during a cold startup. I’d strongly recommend them as a solid option over stock, vibratechnics and AKG.

Over the years we have tried just about every variation of engine mount offering on the market. Our favorite is STILL the OEM mounts.
ALL aftermarket rubber mounts crack and dry rot faster than the OE mount rubber. The Bimmerworld ones lasted the longest but still not as long as OE. POLY mounts suck. Period. They're solid, sure, but feel terrible and the vibrations ruin the enjoyment of the car. The poly breaks down in a year or two of consistent use and needs to be replaced. We've seen some failures too, where the poly split. Hybrid mounts are also short lived. They're nice (slightly more hum than OE) but need to have the inserts replaced somewhat frequently. OE mounts last years and are excellent even for track use. We've found no reason to recommend anything else. |

Go with OE corteco mounts for sure, I have the bimmerworld ones while they are definitely solid the vibration that comes through especially on chilly mornings is too much. I will be taking them back out over this winter.
