Shortening Borla Atak Exhaust

I’ve been looking to get a Borla Atak exhaust but from what I read and have seen, it sticks out too far. Has anyone shortened the exhaust to match oem length?

If so what did you do to refinish , etc.

when I had mine the tips didn't really seem to stick out that far. just go to a muffler shop and get new tips put on or they can probably cut the tips off and shorten them from the back so they still look clean
