Alpine Tune Review
I know there have been others out there that have given Alex from Alpine Motorsports reviews, but I wanted to take a moment and share my experience. First, Alex is very knowledgeable and responds quickly to emails asking about his products. I previously had a Dinan Stage 1 tune which was very mild and conservative, but my how things then have changed since then. I was now in search of a Stage 2 tune since I was putting on a Akra mid-pipe to match the Akra slip-on that I had and didn't want a CEL issue. Alex, told me what I needed and gave me a list of options once I purchase the tune. Second, the installation was fairly easy and the instructions were detailed enough that I didn't have any issues installing the mod to the ECU as long as you follow them step by step. I did take my time installing the Akra mid-pipe and the tune to make sure that it was done right which seemed to make the difference without bothering Alex. Now comes the fun stuff, after installing everything I took the car our for its maiden driven and I about crapped my pants from the increase in power
. I'm sure it was a combination of the tune and the mid-pipe but the car seemed to accelerate like never before. It seemed that the car was now on steroids and wanted to eat small children and cats as it accelerated. I did eventually do the cold-start delete since it was crazy loud with the Akra mid-pipe on a cold start. I haven't had any problems since installing everything and drive ability seems as good if not better than before. If you're in search of a tune that is reasonably priced with great customer service, then Alex is your man and get yourself his tune. I really can't see someone spending more on other tunes when Alex's tune are just as good and better priced. |

New owner here, and I've been seeing a lot of talk about this tune.
Are there any issues running this if everything is stock? Can the tune later be modified to accommodate the mods when you do them? |

You would likely use Alex's stage 1 tune since you're running stock and stage 2 is for running without primary cats. At least that's how it was explained to me. I haven't had any issues and others that have his tune haven't voiced any problems with it. You can request additional map files from Alex at anytime as you change things or add mods. It's pretty easy to load the maps onto the car as long as your computer literate and can follow directions.

No I haven't done the servotronics yet. I wanted to see how the car ran first with the basic tune. I may ask for another map file this weekend and see.

Alpine tune e92 M3
I just got a tune from alex @ alpine and it was the best thing I could have done. I let alex know it was my first tune and he got it to me so quick. Customer service was also amazing.
If you want to tune your e92 get it done from alpine. |

If you have a DCT, do yourself a favor and get their GTS transmission tune. Can’t recommend it enough! |
