How far out is the stock exhaust?

Hey guys I was running an MPE for about a year and I just recently put my stock exhaust back on. I don’t know if I’m going crazy but the stock exhaust seems too far in and I don’t have enough pictures from when I bought the car to confirm it. Does this picture look normal? Can you guys provide pictures of your cars to compare?

an e90 one which is shorter but it would be way more tucked, but with the correct chassis one it should be pretty much flush with the rear bumper.

This is the stock E92 exhaust I bought the car with. It’s so weird the hangers and stuff don’t have any room for play when installing. Do you have a picture of yours? It’s pretty much flush right now maybe I’m just used to my MPE since those tips stick out more.

It looks right to me. Sorry don't have an E92, just going off of pics I've seen.

the side hangars can be flipped, if incorrectly orientated it might cause the muffler to tuck more or hang lower / higher.

your car looks about right to be honest.

the MPE have much longer tips, due to the M engraving so it's longer to showcase.

Hard to tell in your pic but this is my stock E92. They're ever so slightly protruding when you look from the side but look flush when looking straight from the back. It should definitely not be recessed behind the bumper. When you look from one side you should not be able to see the opposite pipes

Interesting, thanks for the photo. That’s so weird I’ve been looking at photos of other cars on the internet and it’s really hard to tell. Have you ever had any work/mods done to the exhaust?

I have a catless active autowerk X pipe. That's it. Backbox was not removed during installation to the best of my knowledge

Interesting good to know. Ive had test pipes and recently took the x pipe off to fix something but that shouldn’t affect anything. This is so weird
