Had an interesting ... surprise.. message on iDrive this afternoon.

I was NOT expecting this (I guess BMW = Snapchat now?)

They did this for Canada Day (July 1st) as well...it was a cool little "gift" as they described it.

I thought it was pretty cool as well (but yes a little cheesy but my kids liked it!).

Pulled into the garage, and the iDrive (radio) wouldn't turn off until I played the stupid video. (Turning off the engine and locking the car didn't work; radio kept playing.)

That’s fair, although you don’t *have* to click on it. A little pop-up notification that can be easily ignored or stopped.

I guess it could be considered a bit intrusive simply by the fact that BMW can send these notifications directly to idrive OTA (like a phone app notification).
