I think 25" would work for me but pretty close to borderline. I really wish there was a way to try out the seat first before committing lol - I think general guidance would steer me away from these but my proportions are such that I have a short torso and longer legs, so there's a chance...

No, sorry. 25" was a measurement of my floor to shoulder height while seated, which implied the recaro measurement is closer to 23"-23.5". Going to edit my post to make it more clear. If I do venture back to the store I will try to grab some actual measurements of the seat.

gotcha, thanks for clarifying! would definitely love measurements of the seat but no worries at all if it's a trek. wish there was a similar store close to me here - the closest one I've gone to didn't stock recaros.

I made the trip back. Will do my best to describe measurements I got for the Recaro Pole Position ABE.

From the edge of the bottom seat cushion to the bottom of the lowest point on the harness holes - ~23"

From the edge of the bottom seat cushion to the bottom of the highest point on the harness holes - ~24.5"

From the edge of the bottom seat cushion to the top of the highest point on the harness holes - ~25"

Removing the bottom cushion seemed to add about 1-1.25" of clearance to the above. I was told my shoulders (~25") would clear, even adding on a HANS device.

thank you so much for taking the time to do so! I really appreciate it. from measuring, it seems like I'm right at 24"... just narrowly squeezing in, if I were to wear a HANS.
