DO88 Power Steering Cooler Leak

Has anyone else had fitment issues with the DO88 power steering cooler? My DO88 unit is significantly looser when sliding the hoses back on than the stock cooler to the point where it is leaking from the hose to the cooler.

My installer had reached out to DO88 regarding the fitment issue and they said that to fix the leaking issue we simply need to revert back to the Pentosin CHF11. I'm a bit skeptical that a fluid change will magically fix the leaking and fitment issue.

For additional context, my installer is a Motul dealer and had used Motul Multi ATF instead of the CHF11.

There have been several cases of leaking Do88 coolers here in Msia in the last 12 mths. Mainly at the joints. All coolers were purchased new. Seems to be a QC thing.

What have you guys been doing to fix the leak? Send the unit back?

As someone looking to get a Do88 kit at some point, this is concerning.

Definitely curious how they plan to address this if many of them are leaking.

I got the big pack with radiator, dct cooler, oil cooler, and power steering cooler.

All the other coolers, except for the power steering do not leak. The fitment for the new ducting for the DCT cooler could have been better but we were able to rough it in.

I originally bought the big pack because the cost of the dct, oil, and radiator individually would have been about $200 less than the full kit. I figured might as well get the power steering cooler included for $200 extra.

An alternative to the DO88 power steering cooler I'm thinking of now is swapping back to the stock cooler and using a reservoir that doesn't vent.

Had the shop that installed the power steering cooler measure the diameter of the male connections of the DO88 cooler vs OEM. It is confirmed that the DO88 I received is smaller than stock, measuring at 14.05mm for DO88 vs 14.26mm for OEM. I have reached out to DO88 with these photos and now awaiting a response.

I received a response from Do88. They tested all of the power steering coolers they have in stock and measured 14.1mm (which is within tolerance of what my installer had measured).

They suggested I install new lines to fix the leaking. I have new lines on the way. Will update once this is resolved.

I bought new lines and it resolved the issue for now. The connectors on the lines may have been damaged when removing the old unit.

Now no more leaks and time for the track!
