Yah I used to have this system with the welded on tips and I really liked that. I was surprised to receive adjustable clamp on tips but they look really good and it was nice to adjust them to be even.

Thanks Debro for posting that clip. I always wondered what the F1 sounds like with a aftermarket x pipe compared to the original race version. They don't sound all that different.

I think there is a slight difference but it would largely depend on the Xpipe configuration too. This one is Macht Schnell xpipe with SS Race.

What I think the F1 does, is reduce drone. It isn't all that loud.

Mid pipe:

OEM Mid pipe W/:
AA Test Pipes
OEM Secondary cats (not blown out/gutted)
Resonators taken out and replaced with metal pipes.

Axleback:
Akrapovic Axleback, known as fhe “Slip On” with the carbon tips . Completely how it came from them.

It’s just stock mid pipe but with the primary cat and resonators gone. But I still have the secondary cats.

Currently RK, going to switch to Epic!

Cel gets coded out through the tune. You can run tp without them but you’ll have a CEL for the Catalyst

For me this will always be the best sounding setup for the e9x m3:

Full supersprint exhaust - catless front pipes, non-resonated xpipe, F1 race rear section. Super high pitched and exotic sounding and has the perfect amount of rasp that in my opinion suits the s65 well.
