Crankshaft ran bearings

Hi guys, apologies in advance, I know this topic is a recurring one but I need solid and concrete advice. My car ran bearings and damaged the crank, I wanna know your thoughts on machining the crank and using oversize rod bearings. found a link that says it's the best way to go due to insufficient stock bearing clearance

Spun rod bearings or main bearings? How many bearings spun? How bad (deep) is the damage to the crankshaft? Do you have pics? Aftermarket rod bearings are available to address the tight rod bearing clearance issue but no aftermarket extra clearance main bearings are available.
