ESS G1 - Which Software?
Hey guys,
i've had an ESS G1 supercharger (with small pulley - 94 mm) now for 8 months with the standard ESS Software. I am pretty happy with the supercharger and the car runs well. My question is, should i get a custom tune or not? I am not looking for more power, but for a reliable and safe software. I know that some tuners block for example the knock control in the ecu, but i don't know if thats the case with the standard ESS tune. |

I can’t comment as to whether knock is suppressed or not, but I have the standard ESS flash for my G1. The plan is to potentially go to a flex fuel blend and a custom tune elsewhere (with potentially a smaller pulley). I have nothing bad to say with ESS, the car runs like it is supposed to. They are conservative with their tunes from what I understand.
