Plenum - Broken oil separator outlet
Going back to stock plenum and bought a secondhand one off eBay - I stupidly didn't look closely enough before purchasing and realized upon receiving it today that the outlet that vents to the oil separators is broken. Specifically, the little tri-wing plastic piece that helps seat the separator is missing from one side.
How critical is this piece? I figure it helps seat the plenum on the oil separator, and maybe prevents it from bottoming out and maintains a gap. View post on imgur.com Last edited by bugg; 09-27-2023 at 06:35 PM.. |

That sucks, if you’re stuck with the part you should be good from an operational stand point. It tucks into the oil separator well.

![]() I took a look at other aftermarket plenums, and it looks like I should be safe. The Haimus plenum omits the center tri-wing support which I take as confirmation that it's not essential to oil separator function. |
