Trash or resell tire with nail?

I have an advan a052 (295/35/18) with around 100 miles on it and a small nail about an inch from the sidewall. Would someone potentially buy this and try to repair it, or should I just discard it?

Just wanted to hear some input before I make a listing for this item...

For the street I’d probably patch and reuse. I wouldn’t take it on track, though. It would probably be fine in either situation but not worth the risk (to me) in a track environment.

There's nothing wrong with that tire, for road or track.

If you bought it from tirerack, it should have come with tire insurance. From their prospective, the tire is not repairable as the damage is in the corner of the tread. So they'll replace it for free. Just fyi.

As long as the hole is not thru the sidewall you should be able to plug/patch and re-use it. I've run tires with both patches and plugs on track with zero issues.

I was able to get a replacement through them actually, but I felt bad about discarding an essentially brand new tire and thought that maybe someone wouldn't mind patching it and picking it up for very cheap
