Changing oil on Vortech V3, no drain line. Oil buildup around intake boot.
I have an ESS 625 kit I installed some years ago. I remember having a drain line on the V3 I ran down the front to easily drain the blower. A couple years ago I had a shop install a new 4.5l stroker build from Carbahn. They had to reinstall the ESS kit of course and now I cannot find my drain line anywhere.
Am I crazy or did they remove it? Here's a picture underneath where I thought it was. ![]() I've also noticed some buildup of oil/gunk below where the intake boot attaches to the blower. ![]() |

Appears the drain line was removed and capped off. Not sure why your installer would do that.
