E92 M3 Ohlin's Dedicated Track coilovers

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
Up for sale is a set of Ohlins dedicated track coilovers for e92 M3 / E82 1M. Purchased through Barry at 3DM motorsports in September of 2021. Took a few months to get them. They were installed on my 135i autocross car (converted to a 1M). The car saw maybe 10 autocross events on these coilovers since installation. I have been busy with a newborn. These were not street driven so no potholes or anything like that. They are basically new.

These coilovers felt fantastic on the car. I am only selling because I lucked out on an older set of JRZ with external reservoirs that I rebuilt and custom valved. Need to sell the Ohlins now and I may even regret this decision to switch because Barry did a fantastic job at customizing and packaging the dedicated track setup. I've had quite a few setups on my car and these Ohlins have been the only setup that felt built for the car instead of feeling like generic one size fits all.

You get everything you see in the pictures which is everything they come with when new...

The dedicated track package is quite a bit different than the typical Ohlins street:

*120N/mm front and 180N/mm rear springs
* custom valved for the above spring rates
*Fully adjustable camber plates
* I paid extra to add on the rear adjustment extenders so you can put your trunk liners back in
* swift thrust sheets
* front helper springs

You can read more on 3DM motorsports web page. After tax and shipping these cost over $3900 new. https://3dmmotorsport.com/products/b...suspension-kit

Any other questions ask.

Any idea what would I need to install these on 335i (with m3 control arms in front)? Clearance in front might be reduced by the coil over, ie https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide lists the following:
Code:
Aftermarket E9x 3-Series Suspensions Known To Reduce Inner Clearance
(includes but not limited to):

    Bilstein PSS9 & PSS10
    KW Height-Adjustable Spring (HAS) kit
    KW Variants
    KW Clubsports
    Öhlins Road & Track

You need 1m/m3 front spindles and the rear lower camber arm. You may not need the front spindles but I am not 100% sure on that. You should reach out to 3dm. The front struts have a conical sleeve on them to fit the m3 spindle that you may be able to just remove.

FYI this doesn't apply to the dedicated track kit above since they have swift linear springs. The normal r&t kit comes with barrel springs which are wider and reduce clearance.
