My NEW to me E92 M3

So I just recently picked up a 2008 Alpine White E92 M3 6 speed manual with 124k miles.

Needless to say, I’ve been wanting this car for awhile now and was lucky enough to get one here in Hawaii.

Whatever comes to the island either stays or goes or rots, so getting inventory here is hard as is.

I previously had a 325i while on island before and then picked up a 320i wagon.

Fast foward I was fortunate enough to get a 2021 G80 M3 6spd, long story short I had my fun with the car and sold it.

Picked up a 2021 M2C and thought this was my forever car and that ended up changing due to life changing events that took place.

So as of today I now a proud owner of a 2008 M3, which I can say is all mine with no bank loan.

Now granted everyone’s financial situation is different and I was just in a position to be able to buy one outright. I mean it is a 15 year old car.

Anywho enough rambling, here are the photos of my previous BMW’s to what I have today. I look forward to talking with y’all and learning about this platform.

Congrats looks awesome.

Not sure if the exhaust is stock. If yes I would recommend removing the cats via test pipes so they don't get stolen. If u want to keep the cats on the car then perhaps check out the catclamps or cat shields.

Unfortunate what is going on there now.

Thanks and yeah it got crazy over the years along with traffic…I was here in 08,13 and now big difference!

Exhaust is custom x pipe and Remus axle back from the previous owner. It sounds great but a little too loud for my taste. So I’ll be modifying it eventually.

Moved away in 2006 but come back often in the winter to surf North Shore... so like you, have witnessed the dramatic and almost unbelievable increase in crime, homelesses and mental illness. When I lived there, yes there was property crime but front page news was if a car was stolen. Most all was petty and rarely any physical crime. Organized crime /drug rings have come
In and taken over the island. Politicians and public safety are in on it or do not have the ability to deal with it. Such a sad situation yet for some reason I still continue to look at real estate and occasionally make offers on homes.

Smart move on getting property, they’re building new homes in the Waipio area across from Costco.

I agree with all of the stuff you noted it’s changed sadly…

Although aside from that and missing the autobanh, a nice drive around the island is always a win!

I lived in the north end of Kailua and was near the H3...definitely one of the best driving highways on planet earth and had an M car so that was fun! Otherwise not sure where you can drive the e92 full tilt. I see you have a pic at Barbers Point....theres a few straight line roads there as you know so you can hear the amazing V8 scream without worrying about traffic or cops. And of course nothing wrong with just cruising around there slowly enjoying the beautiful scenery!

My favorite side of the island! From the scenery out that way to the driving distances from there to the Waianae side.

I live closer to Barbers so I stopped by there for some WOT action haha. Yup other than that can really rev it out without having HPD scope you.

Thanks Bro, I appreciate it! Between the two I like the E92 M3, it’s more of a “rawer” car if that’s even proper to say. The M2C is much faster but the shifter was somewhat sloshy compared to E92 M3. The key things between the two is the age difference of course, engines and the tech.

Lastly gas mileage is way better in the M2C vs the E92 M3 lol, but who cares about gas mileage when you’re having fun.

But to answer your question, the E92 M3 is my favorite, I should’ve bought this car a long time ago.
