ESS VT2-625 Injector Question

Hey all,

So it seems like my "White" top injectors off the 625 kit are leaking. Looked up the direct part number associated with these injectors, but I'm not sure if they're modified any differently from what ESS provides aside from the machining work.

Does anyone know if the OE replacements online would fit with a fuel spacer?

I doubt ESS modified the injectors but do not know for sure. Can you see any signs of modification from what you can see of an injector?

Judging from the photos online associated with this part number it looks like the nozzle plastic/area has been modified for the ESS version. More concerned of whether or not these will fit as a direct replacement as ESS has done away with these injectors and replaced them with a blue/black injector?

How did you determine they are leaking? I have the white injectors on my kit also - would like to know what to look for. Thanks

Find a local shop that offers injector servicing/cleaning. They should be able to clean/service your current injectors and should also be able to provide you with a suitable replacement if the injector is indeed damaged.

Crank times were longer than normal (5-6 seconds) before the car turns over. Would only happen if the car sat overnight or for an extended period of time for the fuel pressure to drop. Already ruled out the idea its not a battery, fuel pressure sensor, or fuel pressure regulator issue. No error/fault codes.

As a test I took the injectors out tied each one in a zip-lock bag and saw a few of them were "dripping" overnight.

Incase anyone was curious about replacement injectors for their ESS-625 kit - ended up ordering Bosch 0280158124 (Black Injectors) as a direct replacement since the white ones are extremely outdated.

Works and performs as it should with no spacers/additional accessories.

Much cheaper to source them as supposed to buying from ESS directly.

Thanks for the info, I know those black ones are the standard ones now sold on the G kits. Do you happen to know if it’s the same flow rate as the whites?

From what ESS stated - they're both the same flow rates at 380cc at 3bars, but they run them at 5.5bars

Tuner adjusted for the new injector, but considering they're the same flow rate/etc he didn't have to do much.

I use the bpm injectors paired with the rksport modified fuel pump.

i dont have to deal with that hobb switch wiring bs. no issues thus far.

Do you have a e85 tune from him?I tried and he gave me the bs Info to just add the flex fuel kit to the 93 tune would be exactly the same as the e85 tune.

its literally on his website, and yes the flex kit makes it safer and easier as e85 isn't consistent from pump. so it helps. sure you could run it straight, but you'll be maxing your duty cycle which is not good for you.

I can see it’s on his website. There’s tons of people that have tried to get an actual e85 tune including myself from Mike and he is unable or unwilling to do so. Why offer a product yet not stand behind that product at all and steer people to a 93 tune with a flex fuel kit is completely laughable. Your last point doesn’t make any sense. You will max out duty cycle regardless if you run a e85 tune or a flex fuel kit if your injectors do not flow enough.
