I have a dent free and clean akra evo system with carbon tips with the akra delete-R chip. Located in Beverly Hills/Weho area. If I had to guess it was used for about 25-30k miles. Tips are free of dents as is the entire exhaust system.

I am tired of taking off the evo mid pipes for smog so the mpe v2 is the only other option I’m pursuing since I had a v1 that cracked before I got this akra. Everyone knows how good the evo system sounds. I wouldn’t get rid of this ever if I lived in a better state.

Straight up trade plus just a little cash depending on condition.

Edit: It also includes the titanium akra adapters so you can run the muffler section during your trip to smog so it mates up with the stock midpipe or any other mid pipe with a ball joint at the end of it.

Still learning about different E9x exhaust options - just curious why the MPE V2 is what you're looking for to replace the Akra Evo? Something to do with how it's installed?

Yea the mpe v2 was a fix for mpe v1. Mpe is made of inconel which is made very thin which presumably gives the mpe a fairly unique sound from all the steel options out there. Thin means it vibrate a lot and the vibration caused pressure cracks at a very specific location. V2 addressed that with a hole in this area probably to minimize such vibration. My v1 cracked like many ultimately do and caused a high pitch buzz saw sound that is pretty unpleasant.

Akra seemed the highest quality build and is one of the only full titanium ones that saves roughly 46 lbs if you get the full evo kit which is header back. I personally think you can’t possibly beat the akra evo or akra gt4 mid pipe sound but that’s my preference. I never liked loud for the sake of loud.

Ah interesting thanks for the info! Is the Akra evo a full kit which can't be disassembled easily for emissions? When looking at Akra systems there seemed to an Akra Evo and an Akra slip-on

Akra slip on is just the mufflers. No impact to smog since it couples up to the stock midpipe. Bassy but very miminal increase in actual volume over full stock. Some weight savings.

Akra evo also replaces the entire stock midpipe up to the header gasket. Eliminates primary cat which does the heavy lifting, secondary cat is maybe a 100 cell and it also has a different resonator. Cannot pass smog with the evo but the sound is immensely better than stock or stock plus rear muffler akra only. Plus majority of the weight savings comes from the akra evo midpipe.

With the evo you have to swap in the stock mid pipe with the akra adapters so you toggle between slip on only and full evo. Easy enough if you have a lift but paying for two swaps every two years is an annoyance.

There is no HOLE, there is a piece of tubing running through the cans to make them more rigid!

Ah that makes sense thanks man! So the MPE V2 is one of the best options then with a stock setup - and will save you doing the constant swapping

Last ditch effort to swap your e92 MPE (must be v2) for my full Akra evo cf tips with akra delete-r and akra slip on adapters. Muffler is on my car now so no photos but the entire system is clean, dent free. Can provide photos of the evo mid pipe and the tips and whatnot if you are interested. Thanks.
