Not having cats in the primary position between the two O2 sensors will trigger a CEL without a tune.

I’m intending on doing something similar with my x pipe. Do you mind telling me the product number or inlet outlet width you used for the cats? Did this get rid of the CEL?

Cats in that position will likely not do jack to combat CELs.
