034Motorsport Density Line engine mounts. Any info?

Anyone tried this yet?

Looks like another powertrain mount promising all the benefits with "no" or "minimal" NVH increase. Given the reviews I've read on other mounts in the same vein, I'm... skeptical. But might be persuaded if this one is likely to last a lot longer than the OE mount, just because I don't want to keep having to replace them (done it twice in 70k miles), especially as the M3 is no longer the road trip car.

Looks comparable to the Bimmerworld solid rubber option. I have those and they're great! I think the new FCP option will be a huge success.

I'm sure the benefits are real. What about the NVH? Where in the rev range do the BW mounts add NVH, and how pronounced is it?

I can't help you there, as my car won't be a good proxy for you. Read reviews on BW option and just assume it'll likely be similar.

Most of the time, stiffer motor mounts are only felt at idle.

When I give a quick rev during idle and the rpms drop back down, hunt a little and settle back down is where I feel it the most. There is also a heat shield somewhere that likes to rattle as the throttles hunt for idle speed. BW mounts.

My e90 has these mounts installed when I purchased it from the previous owner so I don't have experience with any other mounts. I don't notice any abnormal vibrations in the car. But since getting the car serviced recently, the cabin air filter tabs were broken and now I'm pretty sure they're buzzing when the car is at idle. The buzzing goes away when I bring the rpms up or when driving normally.

We've literally replaced *thousands* of S65 engine mounts. I can't say we've had anyone request these specifically, but I will tell you that for all the aftermarket options we have used, NONE will last longer than the OEM mounts. The BW mounts seem to be made of the best compound we've found so far if you need solid, but they still dry rot and will need replacement if they tear.

We recommend OE mounts for all applications even cars that see track. Wanting stiffer to reduce movement (which is minimal anyway), is one thing but if you are trying to find mounts that will last longer, I think that's a pipe dream. The OE mounts last a very long time already.

Also, we can always identify increased NVH, even on mounts that advertise they don't. If you're sensitive to that, OEM is the only choice.
