I do not. I can tell you they feel different as I handle them, but that might be the fumes… lol

I'm probably not doing this again.

So I have an 08 without iDrive and no ‘M’ button. From reading the manual it looks like my only options for DSC is on or off, can anyone confirm this? I’m pretty new to tracking a street car but have a lot of experience racing dirtbikes and a decent amount in side by sides and other random desert trucks and cars. The DSC seems to be extremely conservative, even at my beginner level.

I believe you'll have to use a tuner like BPM or Alpine MSS to add MDM mode and M mode to the steering wheel. You'll probably also have to get a steering wheel with an M button. That thread I linked is older, but I would at least ask a tuner who is experienced with coding cause it's very possible this can simply be coded to another button in the car without having to get a new wheel.

I still do it on certain types of corners. Basically heel toe then immediately cover the brake pedal with my left foot and be ready.

When my wife had dct 135i i did left foot braking every time lol. Its fun.

Correct, either fully on or fully off. MDM can be retrofitted if you want.
I'd just drive with it fully off and work up to it personally. These cars are quite forgiving, particularly on less sticky (street) tires.

That is probably going to be my approach. ~$1500 for the retrofit doesn't seem like money well spent when the plan is to work up to just having it off. Maybe if I sourced the parts used, but even then not sure if it would be worth the time that takes.

Was at Laguna last Thursday and the car was most definitely down on power.
Suspected a boost leak.

Suspicion confirmed.

Took it for a test drive just now.
It's back to being a VERY angry little 4 liter once again!

Glad it's back to its old self. Where might the missing rubber boot chunk have gone?

Crummy picture, it was folded over.
Reformed it, took more care seating the plenum.
Felt a solid "thunk" when the plenum landed.

I'll order up some spare boots though, the stock plenum and the G-Power plenum have been back and forth, on and off, multiple times.

my bank 2 actuator took a shit on me at big willow Saturday.. after watching the data of my throttle input, I noticed in some sections the input would spike down to 0% throttle when I'm on the front and back straight at 100%..

cel shows it was the case. so sad. lmao.

didn't even get my brake pad bedding session done.. didn't even make it 3 laps.

drove the car home and did a couple wot pulls and no limp mode v_v

redemption is soon. was definitely happy to drive the car home. it could've been worse things.

looked at the rpm data also, and it was def the case, the massive delay at upshift in RPM climbing.. not even getting above 7.9k..

getting a new VDO from a friend and sending the Mpower one in for warranty and keep the vdo as a spare.

Dang I just had two installed from M Power Motorsports. Are you saying one of their T.A.s with the Lifetime Warranty took a dump on you?

You got them to ship? Nice. I'm 4 weeks into my wait. Messaged them and they keep punting the date.

My car was down, and M Power worked quickly to get me some T.A.s due to the emergency need. I was very happy with them, their communication and willingness to help someone whose car was sitting in the shop waiting for parts.
