Ah ok, I guess I'd need to find a tire shop willing to fudge the fitment.
If you are stock hight, you can try the RE-71R

255/35/19 and 275/35/19

Or V730 245/35/19 and 275/35/19.

I've never had an issue finding a tire shop to put the tires I brought in, on the wheels I had at the time, and I've never had stock sizes mounted.

Just wrapped up a great weekend with the Tarheel BMW CCA on the fall VIR full course.

Got approvals for lower intermediate, C Group, by the end of the weekend which felt like a good goal to hit. The car still has more pace than the driver, but I feel I'm beginning to close that gap. Surprisingly, the Continental ExtremeContact Sports have a good pace potential for the lower run groups and they've still got plenty of life left in them. That 340tw is really helping them last. I'm starting to carry enough speed that I'd like to pick up a Simpson HANS device for 3-point belt use next time.

Instructor comments:
"Logbook I'll start off with how excepting Camden is to learn and trust the instructor. We made major improvements over the weekend, with the goals of gaining experience. We went from timid braking zone and coasting to apex to learning to trail braking into corners. He was quick to diagnosis early or late turn in, brake release issues or over braking, even breaking down cause and effect of his inputs. The last session of Sunday was a combined D and C group and Camden handled himself well with traffic from a faster C group. I would recommend him to C group next event to help him practice what we learned in a more speed appropriate run group. Things for him to practice are as always, vision, situational awareness, and patience. What a rewarding weekend with someone that wants to learn and have fun doing it! "

Things that are progressing well:
  • Left foot braking and trail braking
  • Really pushing deep into some brake zones, gaining a good amount
  • General pacing seems to be in the top split
  • Passing/Point-bys are smooth
  • Car inputs are smooth

Things that need work:
  • Biggest emerging Achilles heel is still crabbing in and failing to track out fully
  • Better understanding of racing line and staying on it, only on it for 2-3 corners per lap on VIR full
  • More nuanced throttle inputs, still throttle shy around some areas
  • More consistent apexing

For tires, you could check out the RT615K+ if you the RT660 is a bit too sticky for you.
