Thank you for this. I have GAS monoballs in new arms waiting to go in. Nice to know this beforehand.

It really does make you adjust how you drive the car in the low rpms. The car seems smoothest if you roll into the throttle below 3500. You get used to it, to the point I barely notice it anymore.

To provide additional detail, you will remove the bolt/nut holding the pipe to the oil cooler bracket and shove the pipe up. It wasn't a ton of clearance, but enough to remove the bolt and thread it back in without any risk of cross-threading.

Hey guys how is it going ,
I have recently installed my Harrop supercharger it's been a month since it's been installed, since then I haven't felt much of a difference in power compared to NA fBO , and my gauge is reading 0.5-1.5 psi max under throttle I took it in today to get a smoke test to see if there is some kind of boost leak, I hope you guys can help me find out where there issues Is 😭

Check that the plenum gaskets are seated correctly and tight. Secondly, check that the arm on the bpv opens and closes fully as you move the throttle pedal to 100%. You can check the latter with ignition off and engine off.

I'll ask the mechanic to make sure everything is sealed tight , are you referring to that metal piece that moves when the throttle pedal is applied? I noticed today it was disconnected so we connected it back and worked but still didn't fix the initial issue .

Correct. Ignition on and engine off. Thanks!

Was the kit purchased from us? i doubt it as you would probably have contacted us about it. If it was, perhaps you should reach out for support. If you are not making boost it's likely an installation error or leak. These kits run relatively trouble free with tens of thousands of miles. i haven't had a single issue in 7 years.

Another install underway with do88 coolers and other goodies. Off with the old and on with the new (and much improved)

I purchased it from a guy that purchased it from you , Finally I fixed the problem and the boost reaching 6psi ! The car is suddenly so much stronger and I am finally happy with the kit !
The problem all along was a boost leak coming from the Idle control valve and the vacuum pipe ! When I replaced them the problem disappeared.
Thank you guys for all help and support! 👍

That's good news. I'm interested to know which engine software tune for the Harrop SC did you end up installing?
I went with Rk tunes

I bought a racebox mini. Who is interested in comparing performance numbers? I think it would be really helpful to see what difference each mod makes. I can ship it to whoever is interested and has data worth logging.

PS:
Just as an FYI: The Harrop SC kit originally came with a BMPSport tune which BPMSport codeveloped with Harrop. BPMSport
If you are looking to do custom tune with larger injectors like 1050XX rk is the only one offering that. will take some time to dial the car in but you will be happy once its all complete.

Recall everyone that this is the Official Harrop supercharger thread whose OP is BPMSport , who is the official distributor of Harrop superchargers for the e9x M3 in the US. If wishing to discuss modifications outside of that platform offered by other vendors, perhaps as a courtesy to BMP start a separate thread.

There are a few that are tuned by someone else in this thread. Thread was about the blower. expressing fueling for it with a custom tune isn't bad it helps bring light to the capabilities of the blower.

I agree the subject is still related to the Harrop supercharger and I don't see why this would be offensive to anyone.

Hit the dyno today. 458RWHP was the best run on a dynojet. Torque seems lower than I would have expected as well. Seems there is still some power hiding somewhere. Exhaust setup is the factory x pipe with test pipes, and a corsa rear. Tune is the 91 octane BPM harrop tune.

I suppose my next step will be to get a boost gauge on there to ensure I don't have any leaks.

Would highly recommend a high flow cat setup, this provides very respectable gains on a stock setup and is even more important to a supercharged setup. Running the factory cats is a major restriction that will limit torque, increase pressure, and reduce efficiency.

Keep in mind, I am on test pipes, so the main cats are out, only the secondaries remain. Most of the comparisons I've seen between test pipes and a high flow cat x pipe were pretty minimal, but I'm sure you're right, supercharging does change things. Never seen a Harrop test pipes vs high flow cat x pipe before/after dyno either.

Already been talking to a shop as nobody seems to make the x pipe setup I want, so I may go custom:

forward x
high quality high flow cats after the x
high quality resonators
OEM catback connection.
