I'll also note that Tony Chow was on 265/35-18s on the BS-winning M2 and I'm not sure there's any advantage to cramming 295s on the car, but I haven't done testing to see. Namer was on 295/30s Yoks all around. Cashmore on 275/35 Falkens.

although I think the Yoke is a special case, mostly because they actually offer moar-tire sizes. Nobody else really has a 295/30 and a 285/30 isn't really enough to make a huge difference and has some gearing drawbacks Anyway, kudos for going full-send on the wheel/tire setup. Although it may have been a strategic error. All the superpony people will be all like THEY CAN DO 295'S ALL AROUND AND WE DO 315's SEE NOT THAT DIFFERENT, lol And, for me, in my old fart's mental state, I would count a .061 as a victory if not for a slight breeze at the wrong moment. That's an awesome effort against two others who were threats. Nobody earned a default victory, everyone was one wrong input away from 3rd place. You've got zero to prove to anybody after a performance like that. :toast:

I have a set of the Apex ARC-8 FS legal 18" wheels for sale if any one needs a set. Sold my E92 M3 car so I don't need them any more.
https://www.m3post.com/forums/showth...3#post28251323 I also have the Dinan front bar and links that I haven't posted yet. |

No surprise here.
I'm curious how the BS and FS participation numbers will be, since it's basically splitting BS up now. I don't imagine too many current FS competitors will stay in the class nationally, but I'll still be running my car for fun and to see how it stacks up in the end. It's also interesting that the PAX for FS got slightly softer, even though faster cars are moving into the class. I wonder if that'll get adjusted again. |

Did F80/2 move down? That's a seemingly really great autocross car in Comp. trim

Well, this move was inevitable, but I think time will tell if it works or not for the class.

I would personally like to autocross a g80 even though its probably a heavy pig, I think it might be fun.

Now they are bumping FS pax all the way up to .814. Granted it's probably not set in stone yet, but that's a hefty jump from the original .805

The .805 was a bit too soft. The cars coming in from BS to the class aren’t exactly too slow for BS.

Tours and Pros have looked pretty dead so far for FS, except for the Spring Tour which had 13 cars (none of which were M3s).
Is anyone still competing on a local level? I just saw this posted on the latest FastTrack: #32448 FS Class groups cars that don't belong together Thank you for your input. The SAC believes all of the cars in F-Street are appropriately classed. The SAC is closely monitoring the competitive balance of F-Street It also seems like BS turnout has been nearly non-existent as well. |

I'm still running the M3 locally in an indexed PAX class. We all get crushed by James Yom running his GT3 on an SS index, but aside from that it's remained somewhat competitive. Gotta bring my A-game, but the M3 is still a very fun car to drive.
And yeah the index for FS in prosolo seems to be at a huge disadvantage. Strano was running CAM instead but we don't get that option. |

Pro-solo it's just a really unfortunate grouping of cars.

In other news, I finally corded my set of 295s from nats, after 48 runs. They fell off HARD at the end of their life. Got some 265s to throw on so it'll be good to see how those do in comparison. |

Hey all, first time posting here. I have read through this whole forum and was convinced to buy an e92 M3, comp package to play in FS. I did however, I also want to experience the DCT transmission. I have thoroughly enjoyed the car in the mountains of western North Carolina without any issues. today At my second autocross the DCT, while in manual mode, DSC off and on the most aggressive shift pattern was shifting into third when I wanted it to hold second. It then became confused, wouldn’t shift at all and then ultimately on that run it wouldn’t even go into gear, and I had to turn it off and restart the car to get it back into gear. Later runs I tried various combinations of shift speed and DSC and the only thing that really ended up working was to not drive it 100%.
What I have seen as possible causes so far: 1. Low trans fluid, old fluid 2. Weak battery 3. Need the latest software for the DCT, possibly GTS? Any other thoughts? If anyone has experienced DCT transmission issues while auto Crossing and has figured out the fix, I would love to hear it! Thanks! |

Thanks! I got the codes pulled, it said low pressure on both clutches. Scheduled the transmission service. Hopefully that takes care of it.
On a side note, from your post above about 295’s. Were you running 295 square? |

Yeah I was. But I put square 265/35-18s on now and it feels better. The car rotates better while it feels like it puts power down just as well. I'd run the 265 a052s if you can get them, or 275 rt660 or nankangs depending on what's available.
