It just seems that it's JUST 1/2 a mm out of place either up or down and it's just causing a little obstruction. Everything else is working out just this damn fead assembly being a pain ha! Thanks Doc, as always! -Duke |

I do understand the need for micro adjustments; the big issue I was coming across was I didn't have a long spanner ratchet wrench to get under the SC to lock down the bolts for the thermostat housing where the fead assembly goes overtop of the fuel rail. I overcame this by working in reverse order; loosened the three bolts a huge amount, then installed the fead assembly with lots of wiggle room so all 6 M6 screws went in easily, then worked on getting aligned with my four stand-off brackets around the SC and torquing those down. Then I unscrewed the top three fead assembly screws (3xM6 to SC) while leaving the bottom 3xM6 screws installed. I carefully lifted the front of the SC up with my left hand while reaching under and locking down the 3 thermostat screws to the thermostat assembly with my right hand with a 10mm socket and ratchet. It took me a few attempts as the fead assembly was connected by the 3xM6 screws on the bottom and the 2x10 mm screws through the thermostat assembly was lose as well. I just had to trial and error it; carefully lift up, lock the 2x10mm screws down and lower down and see if it stayed in place and I could screw in the upper 3xM6 screws back into the fead assembly (SC side) and ensure everything aligned. I have a lot of tools in my shop, but long spanner ratchet wrench's are not one of them. This single tool would have avoided all this heartache. I have 4 sets of wrenches; SAE/metric 6 inch and 10 inch, but it needs slightly over that to get in there and leverage. Universal w/socket is too tall so the best really is a ratchet spanner. Didn't know where to post this (do88 or here) but I think I'll capture more here. Does anyone have any experience with installing the do88 kit (specifically do88 DCT Cooler) and the Harrop kit? I'm running into issues with the return feed line that comes from the intercooler reservoir from the R/H side of the car down to the aluminum pipe that goes next to the carbon fiber inlet and into the intercooler radiator. I'm finding that the bigger CF inlet is pushing into the pipe, but additionally the pipe seems to be bent slightly wrong or at an angle that is hindering the best path. You can see the pipe here https://www.harrop.com.au/shop/syste...e%5Blow%5D.pdf on page 23 or step 12, it is the left most pipe on the bottom that bends upwards and then on page 27 or step 12.k. You can see it has a bracket that connects into the under tray retainer bracket (for the felt liner) and you use an M6 and cap screw to install. You can also see in the picture next to it from the front that the pipe kind of just pokes behind the older air inlet duct. After installing the do88 DCT cooler, it's now pushing up into the mandrel bend of the piping and not fitting the best. I'll try to reposition the DCT as much as possible (bend up from the bracket and reposition some things) but I'm just not seeing how this is going to work unless I take a bender and adjust the pipe, or I brake off the welded bracket and re-tig weld to the opposite side of the pipe to allow for slightly more clearance. We have to have some guys who have both do88 big pack kit (specifically do88 DCT Cooler) and a Harrop installed, any advice would be appreciated, thanks! -Duke |

the extent of my issues in the beginning were transmission- focused which has since been resolved. next track day with warmer weather is 5/16. will report back if any changes. for reference do88 oil cooler (csf didnt fit with harrop) csf radiator csf ps cooler csf dct cooler ( for now unless i get issues) i do have newly installed hood vents that i believe helped my last track day.

I'm moving forward with the CSF radiator, installing this weekend. I was confused and bought the wrong oil cooler, so sent the CSF back to FCP Euro this week at a tune of $130 fed ex ground - ouch. My eyes are watering a bit for all of the money I'm sinking into my e93 to e90 harrop swap, plus the e90 100k refresh work list - so I am going to stick with the BMW oil cooler through the summer and see how it works out. I don't plan to track to Harrop e90 so I think the CSF radiator alone might be enough to keep operating temps close to the NA setup.

My post isn't so much about the cooling effects, that's not in dispute. My question is more geared towards fitment and specific placements for the return aluminum piping and how overcoming the increased do88 dct oil cooler with CF plenum. How the spacing issues were overcome. All good and no worries! I have access to a Pittsburgh 1" tube roller and some mandrel benders so I'm going to mock up what I need and set about adjusting the tube manually. I don't have a tig welder but if I need to adjust the tube bracket I can find a shop. Thanks everyone and anymore updates are appreciated! -Duke |

I am running the harrop with all do88 coolers & radiator however i didn't install myself. I got it done at rogue engineering in new jersey, try giving Ben a call maybe he can be a help. I can say the car does run cooler when driving normal compared to before. Overall Happy with the harrop & do88 combo.

Out of the current Harrop owners here, what wheel/tire package are you running on the street?
How do you feel about how the power is put down with that setup, and do you have any rubbing, even if minor? Any other thoughts? |

Been loving my kit. Working with Mike was great too I was surprised by how much time of his he gave me. Still putting my first 100 miles on it but it's definitely a lot faster than FBO. When people say "This is how it should have came from the factory" I would say they're wrong. Bmw would have charged so much for this because it's absolutely next level haha. Looking forward to putting miles on the car more than ever. Zero complaints except now I wish my exhaust was quieter so I could hear the supercharger more.

Been very impressed with the number already. I have a Bimmerworld x-pipe with hfc. I'm sure it can do more than this.
