test pipe question
Hi Guys, i have a questions, i bought a used M3 and it came with the fabspeed resonated x pipe It keeps the primary cats in place and only deletes the secondaries. but now i want to add a test pipe and replace the primary, my question is, do i need to remove the entire exhaust system to unbolt the stock cats, or can i keep everything on as is and just remove the stock cat and bolt on the new test pipes, my understanding is, the previous owner must of had to cut the stock cats off the stock xpipe and clamp on the stock cats to the fabspeed
thanks for help and advice |

Likely you'd need to drop the whole x pipe. Not a big deal- it's really easy to do. Unplug the 02 sensors, unbolt from the headers, unbolt the center support (2 bolts) and release the clamps connecting it to the rear section, then down she comes.
Make sure you replace the header to x pipe gaskets while you are there. |
