Marius has already loaded in the coding. Once I get the repin instructions. He'll code out the SOS malfunction warning light.

I had my CCC upgraded to CIC a few years back, and it is a step up for sure.
Thank you. It's just the better option to go with the factory upgrade over the aftermarket options.

Drive it like you stole it. That's a platform engineered to take anything you can throw at it.

Here's the update to the CIC. Got everything installed repinned, combox repinned, wires tucked away, USB port installed.

Best $765 spent. The sound is crisp. Highly recommend for those who still have CCC.

Would love to do the combox retrofit too. Who did you use to code it?
I went through Marius. I contacted him through IG: marius76_bmw where he did everything for me. Sent me the instructions to repin the head unit and combox.

I have done plugs on my son's Focus ST but they were front and center and easy to do. The M3 scares me a bit to work on under the hood. Only advice is make sure you have a lot of knuckle joints to piece together something to pull/install the plugs closest to the firewall. Coils 3 & 4 on each side were also a bit of a pain but I used an HDMI cable to pull them free after a little trouble.

Could be placebo effect but I noticed a smoother idle and less engine ticking/noise. Also maybe a smoother takeoff in 1st gear (6MT). The plugs were about 38k miles old so they were pretty much right on schedule for replacement.
Nice! And I beleive these engines are very sensitive to older plugs, always feels great after a fresh set. Could also just be placebo though

What have you done with or to your M3 today?

6 hours wash, clay, polish and ceramic coating on 11 year old car. Give it a new look.

Pulled the rear wheel bearings. I've been chasing down a clicking/clunky noise coming from my rear end after a high speed spin on track. I recently replaced all the rear suspension arms and hardware, the car has solid subframe bush and purple diff bush.. I checked torques, levered all bushings and inspected everything multiple times and even switched the differential to see if the noise was coming from the diff… it wasn't. After recording the underside of the car, I decided to change the wheel bearings. I felt like I should have done them anyway with the rest of the hardware as the car has 87k miles on it and is now 14 years old… so let's hope new bearings fix it 🤞 new hardware comes Monday.

I did the cic but not the combox. How hard was that? does that have to be coded?

The repin was not hard at all.

Yes, the combox will need to be coded. If you have the right person to code it. They can get you all the streaming apps like pandora, Spotify, Facebook, twitter and internet radio.

I decided against it as I was just using it to stream music through my phone.

It was and extra charge if I wanted additional apps.

Oil filter housing back on. Taking forever as I typically only get about 20-30 mins of time out there. Just need to try and make sure the torque is good enough on the 2 T30 bolts tucked behind the power steering pump.

After that I can start getting everything back together as well as throw the new CSF radiator in.
