850 miles and service needed?
I'm in the process of breaking in my new 6MT M3, and while I tend to drive it pretty aggressively, I do stick to the letter of the instructions in that I don't go full throttle, nor do I take it over 5500rpm, and I haven't exceeded 100mph. I've maybe hit full throttle once by accident for just a split second, and I've exceeded 5500rpm maybe once or twice, also by accident, and even in those cases didn't exceed 6000rpm.
So now when I start the car I see the Service Required message in the nav window. Is this out of the ordinary, or expected given my aggressive driving? Should I cut back a bit? It's hard because the car is so damned much fun to drive... |

As stated below, just an early warning--when you first crank up the car--it should tell you how many miles until the service--should be at 1,200 miles.
