Yes, on our BRZ last year. Lightweight car of course but they wore great and were very comparable to a Bridgestone RE71r. And great price. Would recommend.

It's a copycat of the RE71R. A little bit less ultimate grip but more durable. Good budget tire for HPDE.

Drives nothing like an RE71r to me and wears 10000x better than one. What are you basing your statement off of?

I've been running the RT660's for the last few months, in both 285 square and 275/315 staggered, and they're nothing short of impressive. The limited data I had running 295 A052's shows identical times and g's under braking/turning as the 285 RT660's.

It's a serious contender in the 200tw category. On their 4th day after tons of heat cycles and street miles, I was barely a second off my PB when they were brand new.

The tread design is a copycat. Dunlop has one too.

How many heat cycles are you/do you expect to get out of a set?

How many sessions/length of each during those days? Also, how is the heat resistance compared to the A052 (which I don’t find last near peak grip for more than a hot lap)?

I'd say it depends on what you're aiming to do. If the tires are strictly for lapping and track time, they will last and continue to perform past 16-20 HC. Visually, my 285s still look pretty healthy with plenty of tread left. Do they feel like day 1? No, not at all, but while the grip isn't the same, they almost feel like they don't fall off fast either. I did 5 back to back laps on Thursday all within hundreths, in 85* heat.

I'm definitely more of a TA driver than someone who just runs full sessions because the track is open. I'd say my sessions consist of 1 out lap, 2 hot laps, 1 cool down, 1-2 hot laps, 1 cool down and done. Both tracks I've visited are in the 1:5x lap range, so 15ish minutes out there pushing. The RT660's feel better longer than the A052s did to me. A052's seemed like they had 1 amazing lap and then it was downhill.

That's because the A052 is more of an autocross or qualifying tire.

The RE71R isn't quite as extreme, but my experience was that my fastest laps on that tire were usually the first 3 or 4. It doesn't totally fall off the cliff though.

The 660 appears to be a more consistent track tire.

I will give the RT660 a try once I worked thru my inventory.

Was thinking to go A052 next but this thread has me thinking I should try the RT660's now, thanks for sharing all!

If you want to go real fast, the A052 is a solid choice. But they do not last long on a heavy car.

The RT660 seems to be a bit more durable and a bit more surface-dependent on pace. They do not like low pressures and have occasional tread splice splits show up as well as a few total failures of the tire when started are <25psi.

Either tire is a fine choice. I get 2 days max from a set of A052s and I could definitely cord a set in one day if I was running full sessions at 10/10ths. I think the RT660 lasts 50-100% longer.

Just ordered a set of RT660's for COTA at the end of January - 265/35r18 fronts and 275/35r18 rears. Will report back with my notes.

I've been tracking again on 660's with the Frs. They've gotten about 4 hard going after pb type track days + 1 rain day (lol not the best rain tire but works fine enough) on them this fall and street miles to-from the track. They are about due to be flipped (I have some camber limitation at -3.2 and getting some shoulder wear) but otherwise are wearing well.
Good tire overall, does get greasy towards the end of a 30min session but pretty much all of this category of tires does. I've been running around 33-35psi on my set.

Santa came early this year! Also of note, my wife wanted no part of this but she let me do it anyway.

Anyone compared the Nankang CR-S to the RT660?
