What's the net difference from like to like? You're keeping speakers in the new doors?

No speakers, just keeping the window switch and handle to open on a flat carbon panel.

I weighed components individually in case I used or didn't use anything.

All trim, wires, glass, and regulator is about 19lbs. (Rough figure).

These schirmer doors are going to be functional and operational at about 31lbs.
We're looking at about 90lbs of savings total for both doors.

Gotcha - Wasn't clear, I thought you were weighing the fully configured new carbon doors at 64lbs.

90lbs is awesome reduction! To think it could be so much more if you'd ditch the glass

I'm going to have to see if the p4p side windows are comparable… they look like they are. That's 10lbs right there.

That's so sick with the wing... how is the trunk handling that? Any special reinforcements?

I'm thinking through a few mounting methods once I get the carbon trunk back from paint.

Yep. Picked up a used flossman, had a couple holes filled and drilled my own. It will probably need reinforcement though.

I have some weight comparisons for you guys. The only thing I don't have is a front end link comparison and tendon arm (my oem tension arms with fall line monoballs sold before I got them back).

Thanks for posting. I have brand new GAS monoballs in OE arms I can weigh just for comparison sake. I'm guessing the tension arm is likely the largest difference between OE and aftermarket. Most of these are actually a lot closer than I thought they'd be.

My guess is the Fall-Line camber arms....I believe Mike's new shocks are a true coilover?

Rear LCA's from fall line for a true rear coil.

after weighing everything and tallying up the pounds and ounces, official weight loss is 70lbs.

I forgot to post the individual stuff. The wiring harness is included with the door lock and comfort access innards.

small update, but just boring text-

i got one of my sparco evo XL seats installed last night with the brey krause mounts that use the oem sliders. i think i had it in my head that i would be able to more easily put things in the back seat area with sliders, but that was a bad assumption. the seats are pretty big, and run into the console and can't quite get all the way forward. i'm probably going to get rid of the center console, but i still don't think it will be what i imagined with a fixed back seat with harnesses.
the bk mounts on the oem sliders also don't lower my seating position like i'd hoped. seat is as low as it can go and there is nothing else i can do about it. its about the same height as an oem seat, which is a problem for me in the first place.
for reference, the sparco evo xl is 36.4lbs with the bk mounts and oem sliders. the seat out of the box is 17lbs, so 19.4lbs of that is the slider and mount. not great. plus, i'm only getting about 4-5" of adjustment with the sliders and with a fixed back seat, there isn't really a benefit.

all things considered, i'm going to just go with bk fixed mounts.

BK fixed mounts will get you lowwwww. I’m 6’3 and look like a child in the M3 haha.

I also easily fit a full set of wheels/tires in the back with the roll bar (and tool bags, jacks, etc.). E90 ftw
