Tachometer on Heads UP

I have a 2022 G29 Z4, when using Heads Up is here a way to add the tachometer reading?

On my M340i, if you put the car in sport mode you get a sweeping tach in the HUD. I think that's as close as you can get.

Strange this doesnt exist, it was the first thing I noticed missing on my previous car an F32

Thanks, I am still in the break-in stage and waiting for 1250 miles to let it rip in Sports Mode but I will definitely check this out.

Also check the settings in iDrive for your HUD, you can enable or disable M View (on M cars at least) which has a tach. That's the case for my 13 M6.

I know the feeling, I have owned 3 convertibles and several coupes in my life but always wanted a roadster and when I saw the Z4 I couldn't resist. Driving it makes me feel 20 years younger!!!

I went into the idrive HUD settings today on my M40i and did not see that option.

I can't imagine they have removed it. My tach shows on my 2021 HUD.

I think the "M" view he is referencing is something different. I don't have that either, but I do have the sweeping tach in my HUD when in Sport/Sport Plus mode.

I'll have to look when I think about it. It was simply a HUD setting but I don't know specifically which one. I will snap a picture when I go out today (if I remember to).

Thanks, I was looking for it yesterday and usually I am pretty good navigating menus like this but I wasn't successful.

I understand completely. I seem to need a tutorial every time I try to dig into this infotainment system. I like what it does but it isn't nearly as user friendly/intuitive as my last two.

I agree because sometimes less is more and the people who design these menus always forget that point. I subscribe to the K.I.S.S principle!!!

No harm switching to it any time. Sport mode just gives you a more sensitive throttle pedal and keeps the exhaust valve open. It's not any harder on the car in itself. The thing you want to avoid for now is revving it out.
