E90 M3 ZCP Build
I bought a very clean (exterior 9/10, interior 9.5/10) E90 M3 ZCP (with 6MT) back in February 2020. Planned on keeping it completely stock. That worked out really well! I'm providing as much detail as possible here in case anyone wants to replicate part of this. I'll keep updating this thread as I go. I'm already thinking of some additional mods - a small carbon fiber diffuser and rear spoiler may nicely complement what I've done.
The first picture is the "before" shot (car as delivered). Mods: -ESS VT2-625 supercharger kit with G1 "V2" (60% larger) intercooler and a 94 mm pulley which is producing about 635 to 640 hp (at the crank) (BE bearings and bolts were also done). -H&R sport springs. -Turner 15 mm wheel spacers (front) and 12 mm spacers (rear). -Euro front bumper. -Bayoptiks headlights w/LCI beauty piece and LED turn signals, 3/4 DTM rings, ZKW-R projector lens upgrade, quad honeycomb etched lenses, satin black housings (not CF), and LED carbon fiber eyebrows. -Pom Performance GTS1 carbon fiber front lip. -Build Journal carbon fiber side skirt extensions (note these are for E92 M3s like most, but can work on E90s). -AeroBon MV (M4) style E90 carbon fiber spoiler. -BMW Edition front and side grille package with light tint on the LED turn signal indicator. -Brand new front bumper lower mesh, rear bumper lower mesh, side grille mesh, and hood vent mesh all custom painted in gloss black and clear coated. -STEK DYNOsmoke tint on tail lights. -F10 M5 shift knob with tri-stitched E9X M3 boot and ring. -IND floor mats with fox red piping. -Stealth E-ZPass transponder holder (small black box with two suction cups on upper center part of windshield). I felt like the rear end was lacking the aggressiveness of the front and sides. I was first looking into a diffuser but noticed that on E90s a lot of the available options literally eat the stock tail pipes; they're not visible from the side of the car. So I ruled that option out quickly. Next up was a carbon fiber spoiler. I ended up buying three different spoilers because I don't trust internet pictures. I test fitted all and liked the AeroBon MV (M4) style E90 piece the most. Installation took about 2.5 hours total and mostly involved getting double sided tape off the trunk. Pictures of the end result are attached. I also included some random pics of the car I've taken recently - I just liked the angles and thought they showed the cumulative cosmetic mods nicely.

After I test drove the car I was 95% sure I would buy it. I was doing my OCD check going over every inch and just stood back and looked at the leather and knew I was sold. |
