Damn those doors look good! Are they designed to take all the stock peripherals like door cards, windows, seals, etc?

Yes. I'll post actual figures once I get the trim on and the windows in with the regulator. Oem doors with all the crap on is said to weigh about 70lbs. These weigh about 10lbs each.

Those doors! Wow!! Can’t wait to see the final weight savings. It’s hard to imagine it being more than 30lbs per door… but I would love to be wrong!

According to this post, Oem doors with all the fixins are 70lbs each.

https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=26244808

These are probably less than 10lbs each. A window, regulator, handle, and latch might be 20-something-lbs? That's kinda what I'm guessing with.

I have flat carbon panels on order for the interior.

Where did you order the carbon panels from? I searched a bit a few months ago but never found anything that seemed reasonably priced for small quantities.

By not reasonable I mean like $600 for one panel to make a carbon panel to replace the back seat upright. Not even a full seat delete with a horizontal panel.

These seemed to be the best for what I wanted.

@SAMM3Y and I were chatting. Do you see any risk of the connection points of the door cracking over time, where it latches. Or would there be some sort of aero catch mechanism?

Very interested to hear your take on the diff and whether or not the drexler is “too much” for a car that sees weekend street duty from time to time (I.e. my car).

Those doors are art.
