Rod bearings

All,

Who has recently gotten this done in Houston?

I contacted Alex at Abr racing and it seems their pricing changed in a major way, I was quoted over 3000 dollars not including motor mounts.

I know they would do a great job but that cost is a tough value proposition for me to swallow

Anyone have any other shops they like?

Feel the same way. I've heard they do great work but they charge a good amount more than others. I'll probably be heading to Deansbimmers shop to get it done up in Dallas

Did you get a quote from them? I hear great things about their shop, Dallas is a tough one for me though.

make a end of the week trip out of it, he can do it within 24 hrs. I just did this last month. You can pm him for direct pricing, I paid a good but under what Houston shop quoted you....but may not justify the drive/transportation cost.

I made an appointment with Mporium up in McKinney. Couldn't find a reputable shop with a fair price here in Houston

yeah ive gotten a few quotes from them, always cheaper.

deansbimmer is solid and I highly recommend his shop for work. Customer service is exceptional.

I’d find an event I want to go to in Dallas and schedule around that. 2-birds, one drive.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Indeed, we do a lot of these and complete them same day in most cases. $2400 BE/ARP including engine mounts.

We also get lots of customers driving up from Houston and San Antonio area. We see a few from Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas etc, as well.
