(100% SOLVED) Driveshaft Ticking Noise

About had the CSB replaced yesterday, rubber looked good. Tightened the nut and the noise still persisted. I'm under the impression I'll need to replace the driveshaft if I want to get rid of the noise. Good news is there are options are they're not crazy expensive. The labor is almost as much as the part depending on which route (part) you go.

Were you able to inspect the U Joint or CV joint? It's possible those have play in it.

It's very likely it's one of the two. It sounds like the u joint. CSB looked good.

Since i did this fix, my car still behaves like BN. Not a single issue.

Thanks OP for sharing this fix.

I’m getting the dreaded cowbell noise but very seldom. Only experience it driving after the car sitting idle for a few days.

It’s been 3 years now since this was posted. Did this work? Is the issue completely fixed with just grease? Has anybody done this route and still getting the cowbell noise? Don’t want to be going through this with labour cost but not fix the problem.

0 issue since then. Get an extra DS, if joints are bad just replace the whole thing. If its not just do this.

Yeah sometimes joints are bad, but my heavy e93 was so low mileage to have this type of issues so i gave a shot and cant be happier since then
